Wildlife Viewing

It is possible to view wildlife anywhere in Alta. A rule of thumb is where the people aren’t, the animals are. Moose can be seen on a daily basis in Albion Basin during summer, just make sure you stay on existing roads and trails when looking for wildlife.

Birds, marmots, squirrels, coyotes, stoats, deer and fox all make there home in the Alta area as well. In winter, you may have to try a bit harder, but you can find ermine, porcupine, coyote and fox.
