Public Records Requests (GRAMA)

Public Records Requests (GRAMA)

The Utah Government Access and Management Act (GRAMA) is a series of laws in the Utah State Code (Chapter 63G-2) that deals with the management of government records as well as public access to those records. The law requires that a person making a request for a record shall furnish the government entity with a written request containing a name, mailing address, daytime phone number, and a description of the records with reasonable specificity.

The Town of Alta offers 3 ways to submit a GRAMA request:

      1. Downloadable/Printable GRAMA Request Form (to be mailed or hand-delivered)
      2. Through the State of Utah online Records Request Portal
      3. Fill and sign the online form below to be automatically sent to our records manager.
