*Alta Reading Room Survey – March 2023*
The Town of Alta and Salt Lake County Library are looking for your feedback on the Alta Reading room. We are evaluating the services provided and looking for opportunities to enhance the programs made available to the Alta Community. Please help us by taking this survey by March 31.
The Alta Reading Room is a branch of the Salt Lake County Library System opened in September, 1981 on the second floor of the Alta Community Center. Visitors can access the Internet using public computers or a wireless connection, find leisure reading materials, or browse the library system’s catalog of 2 million items. Holds can be placed on library materials found at any of the 18 County libraries using a library card obtained at any of these library locations.
Alta residents enjoy a unique service called “Alta-Mail-a-Book” where holds are delivered directly to a resident’s home address through the mail. Materials can then be returned at any County library in the Salt Lake Valley or can be returned by mail at the borrower’s expense.
The Alta Reading Room hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00am – 1:00pm while the Post Office is open. If you would like to use the library during other hours, please contact the Town Office.
