Fire hydrants in and around the Town of Alta are sometimes overlooked in snow removal operations particularly during multi-day storm cycles. However it is absolutely critical that our emergency responders have access to hydrants at all times. If your home or business is adjacent to a fire hydrant, please incorporate snow removal around these hydrants into your own snow removal routines and prioritize “shoveling out” these hydrants.
