COVID-19 Updates
Are you or someone you know looking to get a COVID-19 vaccine?
The Alta Clinic has a limited number of Moderna doses and is looking for individuals to sign up. This week we will be vaccinating people:
Friday May 7 from 9-5 pm
Saturday May 8 from 9-5pm (or later by request)
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are:
-Fever
-Cough
-Shortness of breath
-Decreased sense of smell
-Muscle aches and pains
-Sore throat
If you are experiencing these symptoms or if you suspect you’ve been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, avoid contact with other people and immediately contact a health care provider or the Utah COVID-19 Info Line at 1-800-456-7707 to learn whether and how to get a COVID-19 test.
COVID-19 Vaccine Information
State governments determine how to allocate COVID-19 vaccine based on recommendations from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As of February 22 2021, Utah has allocated vaccines to healthcare personnel, long-term care facility residents and workers, first responders, K-12 teachers and school staff, and senior citizens.
Local health departments are primarily responsible for adminstering COVID-19 vaccine in Utah while supplies are limited. If you are over the age of 65, or if you have a qualifying underlying medical condition, visit the Salt Lake County Health Department website to sign up for an appointment to recieve the vaccine.

Town of Alta CARES Act Expense Reporting
The Town of Alta is receiving federal funding under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act through Salt Lake County. Under a contract between the Town of Alta and Salt Lake County, the Town is required to post information about the amount of funds expended and the purposes for which they are used.
