Please Shovel Your Fire Hydrants!

December 9, 2016

Fire hydrants in and around the Town of Alta are sometimes overlooked in snow removal operations particularly during multi-day storm cycles. However it is absolutely critical that our emergency responders have access to hydrants at all times. If your home or business is adjacent to a fire hydrant, please incorporate snow removal around these hydrants into your own snow removal routines and prioritize “shoveling out” these hydrants. The Town of Alta and Unified Fire Authority appreciate your partnership on this important matter.
