Alta Planning Commission Meeting Schedule, 2018

At the Alta Planning Commission meeting on Friday, February 16th, the commission agreed to meet every fourth Tuesday of each month, at 3 PM, at the Alta/Community Center Library. Click here to view a schedule of meeting dates, and please note that two of these dates conflict with holidays.

January 24th Town Council Work Session: Dog Ordinance

The Alta Town Council held a work session at 4:00 PM on January 24th at the Alta Community Center/Library to discuss the Town of Alta Ordinance regulating the town’s dog licensing program. The following aspects of the town’s “dog program” were discussed:

-Watershed science and Alta’s legal authority
-Number of licenses and categories
-Location where dogs are allowed/prohibited
-Clear identification of licensed dogs
-Price of dog permit-full time and temporary
-Date of next work session to continue discussion

Please view the campaign financial reports filed by candidates for the offices of Mayor and Town Council in the 2017 Alta Municipal Elections. Election day is November 7th.
