2020 Census: Please Respond From Your Alta Address!
The Town of Alta anticipates that due to the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on commercial operations in Alta earlier this year, many individuals who would have responded to the 2020 Census from their Alta addresses did not do so. This could lead to an undercout of Alta’s population, and this could have numerous detrimental impacts on our community.
The Town is requesting that anyone who would have been living in Alta on April 1st of 2020, had our ski season not been truncated by the COVID-19 Pandemic, respond to the Census from your Alta address. You should also respond as a resident at your Alta address if you usually spend more time in Alta during a calendar year than you spend in any other single place. If you’ve already responded to the Census, you can submit another response, and the Census Bureau may follow up to ask you to delete your previous response.
