Planning CommissionThe function of the planning commission is to author and approve the General Plan for the Town of Alta with the Town Council. The Town of Alta General Plan was adopted on Thursday November 10, 2005 by the Town Council. The Planning Commission also serves as the Land Use Authority for the Town of Alta. They will hear, review and act on all such land use applications, and shall be the final decision-maker on such land use applications. Meetings are scheduled ahead of time, and generally occur on a monthly basis. If there is no business in front of the commisssion, there is no meeting. If there is to be a meeting, the agenda will be posted according to law. Current commission members are: . Skip Branch - Chair - represents business . John Nepstad - open member . Cottonwood Pkwy) to receive input regarding a proposed Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance. Click here to view the proposed ordinance. The public is invited to provide input at this meeting, or in writing submitted to the Town prior to the meeting. Written comments will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing.
