The Town of Alta is governed by a Mayor and Town Council comprised of four members.

Current officers are:

    Tom Pollard - Mayor - Term expires 2014
    Merebea Danforth - Councilmember - 2014
    Harris Sondak - Councilmember - 2016
    Paul T. Moxley - Councilmember - 2014
    Cliff Curry- Councilmember - 2014

The Town Council meets every month, on the second Thursday of the month at 10:00 am in the Alta Community Center. Click here for 2012-2013 council meeting schedule.

The Town Council also serves as the Appeal Authority which serves as the final arbiter of issues involving the interpretation or application of land use ordinances.
