Alta Marshal's OfficeThe Alta Marshal heads this four officer department with Category 1 trained officers as a strong presence in the town. Their experience and expertise on and off the mountain make them a knowledgeable force. Complex public safety procedures such a restricting traffic on the highway due to avalanche activity, interlodge enforcement and search & rescue are routine for this department.
